An End of Life Doula is a supportive, non-medical role that serves the family and individual at the end of life end of life. They provide holistic support, comfort care/companionship, education, resources, practical needs along with a calm and compassionate presence to both the individual and their family. Doulas are an addition to hospice, filling in the gaps to provide the much needed support and calming presence.

An End of Life Doula provides support, guidance, a calming presence and companionship to the dying person, and their loved ones, when active dying begins (usually the last 24-48 hours of life).  We desire to help make the individuals wishes met and honored.  This may include a comforting presence by their side, praying with, holding space, playing soft music, aromatherapy, or reading scripture. We also provide much needed rest and breaks for loved ones and caregivers.
