name is Lori. I am a Certified End of Life Doula/Elder Companion Doula. My education, career and life experiences have developed my expertise and passion for this valuable role, which is to serve/support individuals and their families who are near or at the end of life. My heart is to bring a calming and comforting presence during this important and sacred chapter of life. Also, I am here to provide emotional and spiritual support to both the individual and their family in the midst of such a challenging transition.
I wholeheartedly understand the importance of dignity and respect during this sacred time.
As an Elder Companion Doula, my passion is to provide a personalized, heart centered companionship service to support individual’s and their families in the place they call home.
I have received my training and certification through Lifespan Doulas under the teaching of co-founder, Patty Brennan. My accreditation is through NEDA ( National End of Life Doula Alliance).
The term “Doula” is a Greek word meaning to serve; or a person who provides non-medical physical, emotional and spiritual care. Doulas educate, guide, provide resources and help with practical needs with an emphasis on personalized and heart-centered companionship and support.

This non-medical service is a valuable option for those who need assistance but desire to remain in the comfort of their home - a home that provides a feeling of safety and maintains maximum independence and quality of life. We provide holistic care, practical support, safety education, companionship and respite care. Elder companion services can be an invaluable asset to the family members who do not have the time desired to be with or care for their loved one to remain at home for optimal well-being. If your family is not located in the Southwest Florida area, we can be that presence to give you a peace of mind to ensure you’re loved one is safe and living life to the fullest.
An End-of-Life-Doula is an invaluable addition to the hospice care team.
