This service provides non-medical holistic support and comfort care to the family and their loved ones at or near the end of life. This may include education and guidance as well as emotional and spiritual care, companionship and practical help.

End of Life Doula services~

• Companionship/Emotional support

• Spiritual support

• Comfort care ~ gentle massage, positioning, aromatherapy, breathing  and relaxation techniques, pet therapy etc.

• Respite for families

• Practical support (errands, light house keeping, meal prep, pet care, etc.)

• Assist with life review activities ~ Sharing/expressing one’s unique life’s experiences and story. 

• Creating legacy projects ~ Personal written letters, video or audio recordings & many other creative options to honor the individual and keep the special memories alive.

• Facilitation of end of life wishes ~ Time at the beach, attending a ball game, reunited with family or a special friend, going on that dream cruise or vacation??  What are your desires and wishes? How can we help make them happen?!!

• Being an advocate for you and your family

• Funeral and memorial planning

• Facilitate family meetings

• Provide information and resources regarding end of life documents so that all desired directives can be followed including but not limited to: living will, 5 wishes, healthcare power of attorney, DNR (do not resuscitate), DNH (do not hospitalize), DNI (do not intubate), POLST (physician’s orders of life-sustaining treatment), etc.

• Vigil support ~  The Doula provides support to family, comfort measures and a loving & calming presence to individual as their in the active dying phase. Typically, it is the last 24-48 hours of life. This help allows family and caregivers rest and a peace of mind.

The hourly rate is $44 per hour (not including vigil support).  Vigil support is charged at $64 per hour (8 hour max per day).  Based on location, travel fees may apply.  There is a two hour minimum on all services.  Packages may also be purchased at a discount.
